Goshawk dots and last ditch kites

not much action today and always distant for the lens but great birds -- Red Kite roost in failing light

Shoveler and Goldeneye

Shelducks

a fine bird in good light and at their brightest right now

a selection of tits

Willow Tit is s till a pretty regular species in N Lincs -- I found 26 pairs in 2012 in a couple of areas --

Marsh Harrier and Sparv

amazing the difference in size in some raptors; presumably a male Sparv but even so -- seeing a male harrier carrying nest material in February is still a surprise not that many years back I would not have been looking for the first harriers coming back until mid Marsh

murmuration of Starlings

it was a quiet start but numbers built to about 10,000 then suddenly things got active and there were 2 less Starlings one to a Peregrine and one to a falcon that I could not see well enough in the failing light ---about 20,000 by the time they went down
