juvenile Hobby

at times this amazing bird was flashing past within 5m of me low over the ground catching Migrant Hawkers; then it flew straight at my face at full pelt and passed within 2 feet of my ear snapping a mix just past my shoulder -- on another occasion the whoosh of its wings and the snap of its claws closed was Cleary audible in an unforgettable moment -- the sort of days that make up for long barren spells of birding -- seeing off a juvey's Peregrine in one image -- still failed to get the image I was after as the AF just couldn't cope with the head on speed and sudden jinking after prey and invariably slipped onto the grass background but the target was admittedly small
