



this was the first occasion I have taken the 300 2.8 abroad and had abundant light; after a few days I found out that with so much brightness the 2x converter worked very well with the 300 and most of the later shots are taken with that combo; these two fighting male Cyprus Wheatears were taken with the 1.4x and 300 2.8 as I jumped out of the car----the heat distortion has just taken the edge off the pics!
