
my third visit to southern Ontario, Long Point, Rondeau, Point Pelee in May 2008 provided amazing photo opportunities with the nearctic wood warblers performing superbly -- see the May posts -- Harris's Sparrow though was an unexpected lifer for me, having seen a large % of the American sparrows on previous trips I had never come across this bulky and attractive species so getting gripping views at Rondeau was a trip high point
