Great Grey Shrike

this super first-winter at Pyes Hall was quite approachable with care and some good fieldcraft, something many of the recent band of big lens toters I am afraid have no concept of; it had the remains of this small bird early am but I cannot work out what species it was although the long legs may suggest a pipit
