Biebrza area accommodation; guide recommended

still cannot remember how we chanced upon our accommodation in the Biebrza area but it was a real stroke of luck; we stayed at a guesthouse run by Adam Szorc, link below; a perfect location near Goniadz making all parts of the marshes easily accessible and with access to the river a simple walk from the B&B where we had Marsh, Great Reed, Savi's, and Icterine Warblers, Corncrake, Cranes, Thrush Nightingales, Beaver, Red-backed Shrike with Ortolan just down the road - the digs are excellent and Adam's breakfasts were superb -- he waited up for us when we arrived at 00:45 hrs after a late flight and provided us with so much local info (he is also a bird tour guide) that really made our trip and made sure we found several birds we would probably have struggled for. Highly recommended

The link is in Polish but if opened in Google Chrome right click and it gives the translate to English option.

so another trip completed -- a few images always a compromise between birding and photography and in this case a bit of recording as well -- one of my favourite images is the one below not a bird but a moment in time on a trip to remember -- I'm sure I will be back
