patch Great Reed Warbler

Missed out on a UK self found on my local patch this morning when Mark picked up a singing Great Reed on Waters' Edge -- sometimes it doesn't matter how many times you walk round a place you still fail to find the one good bird of the year! showing well is not really the term for this species but maybe it could be replaced with bird visible - anyway I think these are what are known as heavy crops! but a superb bird none the less and some recordings in the bag when I get chance to upload them  - note its much smaller cousin in a couple of shots -- they were frequently mobbing the big boy when it went near their nests
