2cy Hobby
a long staying second calendar year Hobby that has evaded my camera until this weekend when I managed some shots showing its moult - new inner primaries p4 and p5 and some secondaries and median coverts while the mantle and back are adult type but the remainder are still old juvenile feathers hence its looking rather ragged on the wings
2cy Red Kite
Nice 2cy moult in this Red Kite that passed me on a harrier watch last week - growing new central tail feathers are obvious
Marsh Harrier food pass
Early signs are that this has been a very poor year for Marsh Harrier production with many nests failing - here a fledged juvenile sparring with its sibling and now adept at taking falling food in flight from the male

Swift
