Brown Hawkers have been quite numerous locally this year and this female was ovi-positing at Alkborough today- -I have not managed anything useful on this species in flight (this was taken with a 100mm macro) as they seldom linger in one spot long enough to focus on -- also a newly emerged Common darter and a scenic or two -- the lower ones Redcliffe Middle Sand and Read's Island on the left looking towards the head of the Humber
