it seemed that any tall structure was a suitable Snowy Owl lookout perch from pack ice to telephone masts and poles, to Bluebird boxes, oak trees, silos, to spindly trees and even the odd Osprey nest platform -- dark juvenile females formed a good percentage of the birds seen following an excellent breeding season in 2013 by all accounts
