Merlins
Several of the Merlins seen well appear to have been the Pacific or Black Merlin F c suckleyi but we also came across birds that were much more akin to Taiga Merlin F c columbarius --I have split the images into presumed suckleyi first batch and the presumed Taiga birds much worse images as I never got near one in the second batch --
the bird below was being mobbed by a Purple Martin that ha d a brood of young nearby
