having only seen Purple Emperors flying around the treetops in the past and with reports of several coning down to the floor for minerals in recent days I decided to attempt to see some a bit better and hopefully get some photos - saw at least six along with a couple of White Admirals and Silver-washed Fritillaries, Purple Hairstreaks and a couple of fleeting White-letter Hairstreaks
The articulated screen on the R6 saved my back and allowed some ground level imagery - all with R6 and either 400DO2 plus 1.4x converter or 70-200f4
