plan for the day was Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump followed by a drive to Waterton PP for a one night stay; the bad news was that rain was forecast by evening and set to last for 2 days -- hot and sunny to start HSiBF was fairly quiet but a pair of Northern Harriers were nesting just below the main look out point; Yellow-bellied Marmot, Long-tailed Weasel and 13 lined Ground Squirrel were all new on the animal front and the colony of Cliff Swallows was entertaining.
