May 31st part 6
after leaving Milk River we explored a few more prairie potholes finding a wide range of ducks from Cinnamon and Blue-winged Teals, American Wigeon, Pintail to Lesser Scaup and Redheads, Buffleheads and Ruddy Duck along with some more American Avocets, Marbled Godwits and a couple of Dunlin plus a flock of Ring-billed Gulls; Spotted Sandpipers became more common -- this raptor was on a fence post before flying off as I raised the camera -- I assume it is a 2cy Swainson's Hawk -- the afternoon ended with a flock of American White Pelicans then a nice meal at the Keg in Lethbridge with the odd beer --
