food needed not sticks





this male harrier is still convinced that females are more impressed by the length of his sticks and his surfing ability than the need to eat -- the female lost no time in telling him otherwise

I don't think I have ever seen a large bird hauling sticks to make a nest. These are really nice photos. Mine are all of birds that land in my backyard so the selection is somewhat limited and none are flying. You can see what I get at My Bird Blog.
