though erratic in appearance the Waters' edge Waxwings were still around this weekend with 14 present on the 17th; this evening there were just 8 but included the colour ringed bird; at 18:40hrs they started calling and then set off due east rising all the time into a clear and cool blue sky; next stop Scandinavia?

Hi Graham,
These birds are fantastic, I love them so much. They are just migrants in Iceland but we got quite a lot of them this year and some are still around.
