a few oddments

a good afternoon with plenty of raptor activity including a fine male Hen Harrier and later a female; a flock of 20 Barnacle Geese flew west but where are they from? there are 500 on the upper Humber and they do go awol at times so could all the flocks on the Lincs coast be from Whitton? or has there been an influx from the Netherlands? The Curlew had been feeding under a thick thorn hedge with others noted in a wood -- a Woodcock dropped in on the ice covered road and scurried into the nearest ditch

Great capture of that Barn Owl on the hunt!

I chase Owls all over the northeast US and have never seen a Barn Owl in the wild.

Your lucky to get that shot, but luck is generally the result of very hard work, the right equipment and incredible amounts of patience and persistence.

Congrats on a great image!
