down to -9C overnight and as the tide fell it left a layer of frozen Humber water 20cm thick on top of the mudlflats -- the inter-tidal areas, the pits and ditches were all frozen and with the fields also under 30-60cm of snow it is a dire time for birds -- walked around the patch and saw so few birds --
